Recently Qualified Teacher Programme

Our Teaching School, would like to offer you an enhanced CPD support for Recently Qualified Teachers to ensure they continue to grow as teachers.

The aim of the programme is to support teachers past their NQT year, continuing their development as well as give them opportunities to network and collaborate.

We would like to offer five sessions in the year and an internet based platform to share and collaborate on ideas, blogs, articles and resources throughout the year. After the original meeting to introduce the programme, our aim is to cover the following aspects in our sessions:
 

  • Monday 5th October 2020: Effective use of data to inform planning and teaching 
  • Tuesday 1st  December 2020: Next level challenge and differentiation to cater for individual needs 
  • Wednesday 10th February 2021: Developing your own CPD 
  • Wednesday 24th March 2021: Memory for learning
  • Wednesday 23rd  June 2021: What's next in your career?

Venue: Tarleton Acedemy, Hesketh Lane, Tarleton. PR4 6AQ
Session times: 4.00-5.30pm
Fees: £50 per RQT for Alliance School members, £75 for non-members

Summer 2021 - We are pleased to announce the re-commencement of the following courses:

Exploring Middle Leadership Programme

There are five main elements to this course which is aimed at colleagues who are new to Middle Leadership or are aspirant Middle Leaders.

Each of these sessions will focus on a different area of middle leadership and be led by strong senior leaders from within the Alliance.

Participants will be asked to complete a mini project with the guidance of a senior leader at their school. They will also spend one day shadowing a middle leader at a different school as part of the programme.

There are 16 places available, 2 per school, and the course is £50.00pp for ELTSA members, covering admin and refreshments. Places are first come first served. 

Exploring Middle Leadership: to be launched in the Autumn Term 2021

Exploring Senior Leadership Programme

There are five main elements to this course which is aimed at colleagues who are new to Senior Leadership or are aspirant Senior Leaders. Each session will focus on a different area of senior leadership and be led by headteachers from within the Alliance.

Participants will be asked to complete a mini project with the guidance of their headteacher. They will also spend one day shadowing the senior leadership team at a different school as part of the programme.

There are 10 places available, and the course is £50.00pp for ELTSA members, covering admin and refreshments. Places are first come first served.

Good Everyday Programme

This is a four-part programme is designed for staff who aim to be ‘good everyday’. Each of these sessions will focus on a different area of core classroom practice and be led by strong senior leaders from within the Alliance.

There are 16 places available, 2 per school, and the course is £50.00pp for ELTSA members to cover admin and refreshments. Places are first come first served.

Good To Great

This is a four-part programme is designed for staff who are good and secure in their teaching to aim to be ‘great’ in their practice. Each session will focus on a different area of core classroom practice and be led by strong senior leaders from within the Alliance. 

There are 2 places available for each school, and the course is £50.00pp for ELTSA members to cover admin and refreshments. Places are first come first served.

Primary Maths Training  

This training is led by Nick Mulligan Lead Practitioner of Maths at Tarleton Academy and designated SLE for the Endeavour Learning Teaching School Alliance. Nick has expertise of both primary and secondary level practice, and is passionate about raising the standards in mathematical teaching and improving outcomes for all students 

These courses can be delivered bespoke to your needs as individual sessions for maths leads or as whole school CPD (pricing packages available).
